Events Organised

1.  Two Days National Seminar  On “ In 75 years of Independence: Girl Child Education, Security and Self Reliance” sponsored by ICSSR New Delhi was  Organized by Department of Education M.B.G.P.G College Haldwani on 27-28 Feb 2023. The seminar featured eight technical sessions, with 120 research papers delivered by research scholars.

2. International Girl Child Day  celebrated by Departmental of Education on 11 October 2023

The Departmental Council of Education conducted an Aipan and Poster Competition in the department to commemorate International Girl Child Day. About 40 BA and MA students from the department took part in this competition, which was held on October 11, 2023. Swati Sahni won first place in the Aipan competition, Rashmi Gupta won second place, and Geeta Joshi's team finished third. Swati Sahni won first place in the poster competition on the topic of 'Girls' education and development, followed by Varsha Chawla in second place and Sanobi in third.

  • 2.  On December 4, 2024, a subject-specific orientation event was organized for newly admitted postgraduate students. 

 

3.  The book 'Girl Education and Challenges' was released by the Director of Higher Education.

Professor CD Suntha, Director of Higher Education, and Professor NS Bankoti, Principal, published a book on Girl Education and Challenges at MBPG College. The book is a compilation of research papers given in seminars organized by the Department of Pedagogy and sponsored by ICSSR on girl education and challenges.

 

4. Department of Education organized a poster competition in conjunction with the G-20 programs 

In accordance with UGC standards, the Departmental Council of Education organized a poster competition in conjunction with the G-20 programs taking place around India. As previously stated, India is chairing the G-20 this year, with the theme Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam - One Earth, One Family, Our Future. Ten teams of education students were formed, and they created posters about various parts of G-20, presented them collectively, and were guided by the team leader. Swati Sahni, the team leader, won first place in this tournament, followed by Rashmi Gupta's team in second and Sunubi's team in third. Both undergraduate and graduate students enthusiastically participated in the program.

5. NATIONAL READING DAY 19 JUNE 2024

MBPG College and Department of Education  celebrated National Reading Day on June 19, 2024. On the occasion of National Reading Day, MBPG College and the Department of Education took an oath to take the necessary efforts to instill the habit of reading in the students' daily lives.

6.  Two Days INTERNATIONAL SEMINAR organized by Department of Education and ICSSR New Delhi on 10-11 Nov 2024.

 

Topic: 75 Years Of Independence: Tribal Education and Challenges

The seminar featured both online and offline technical sessions in which  160 researchers presented their research papers.
